As the colder months approach, it's crucial to ensure your home's heating system is ready for the winter. To help you stay warm and safe, we've put together a concise 10-item Winter Heating Checklist. Following these steps will not only enhance your home's comfort but also improve energy efficiency and safety. Let's get your home winter-ready!

Furnace Inspection: Schedule a professional inspection of your furnace to ensure it's in good working condition.

Filter Replacement: Change or clean the furnace filters. This should be done every 1-3 months during heating season.

Thermostat Check: Test your thermostat to make sure it's functioning properly and consider upgrading to a smart thermostat for better efficiency.

Duct Cleaning: Consider having your ducts cleaned to improve air flow and efficiency.

Insulation Check: Ensure your home is properly insulated, especially in areas like attics and basements.

Window and Door Seals: Check for drafts around windows and doors. Use weatherstripping or caulk to seal any leaks.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors: Test and replace batteries in your carbon monoxide detectors.
